The Program
for Integrity and People Empowerment (PIPE) is a joint anti-corruption
undertaking of TI-Philippines and CenPEG. PIPE adopts a wholistic
approach to addressing problems of corruption and other issues
of governance, and is a complementary program to the individual
programs and services that TI-Philippines and CenPEG each
provide their own particular stakeholders.
PIPE is a multi-media ethics/values-based
joint program of TI PHILS and CenPEG that hopes to undertake
the following projects that will embody and concretize the
thrust of both TI Phils and CenPEG policies and programs:
- television
or audio-visual presentations
- research
and surveys
- publications
- education
and trainings
- conferences,
roundtable discussions and other study forums
To ensure
the participation of the public, PIPE has launched a broad
movement called Dapat Tapat Movement that promotes the following
basic tenets of governance to address the problem of corruption,
among others:
- Transparency
- Accountability
and
- People
Empowerment
Providing
support is the College of Mass Communication (CMC) of the
University of the Philippines, Diliman whose faculty, students
and alumni form part of a vast array of volunteer talents,
resource persons and production assistants in the various
projects under PIPE. |
