SOP - CenPEG’s First Political Briefing

The Center for People Empowerment in Governance last July 26, 2008 held first State of the Presidency (SOP), a political briefing that audited President Gloria M. Arroyo’s key role in governance, corruption, and elections; Philippine foreign policy; the current food and fuel crisis; human rights in relation to the peace process. SOP, a prelude to Mrs. Arroyo’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 28, was CenPEG’s first national political briefing for the public.

SOP was presented by CenPEG’s Senior Fellows and Political Analysts headed by policy study director Prof. Bobby Tuazon, Dr. Temario Rivera, Prof. Roland Simbulan, and Prof. Benito Lim.
