December 1, 2010 - President Benigno S. Aquino III's convoy evaded a mass of students who blocked the gates of the University of the Philippines (UP)-Ayala Land techno hub on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

The students came from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
Double standard in granting amnesty hit
Efforts exerted by President Benigno S. Aquino III in granting amnesty to mutineers during the Macapagal-Arroyo administration while remaining passive in the case of the Morong 43, prompoted Sen. Joker Arroyo to caution the new chief executive on exercising double standard in granting amnesty.
The senator questioned the chief executive's inconsistency in granting amnesty to the rebel soldiers and the 43 health workers who remain in detention on suspicion for being members of the New People's Army. The health workers, including doctors and nurses, were arrested early this year during a seminar on health service for the poor.
